One of England’s largest fishing ports, Newlyn is a hub for Cornwall’s seafood industry. Up until the 1960s the port was famed for its pilchards, now every Autumn boats once again head to sea, using a modernised version of the ring net, to fish for “Cornish Sardines”.

Argoe, Mackerel Sky, The Tolcarne Inn, Duke’s Street Cafe and many more all make the most of their local resources and feature locally caught fish.

Remember, if you can see the sea – order the fish!
